Over the weekend I learned that a LOT of my friends on social media are big fans of the show Friends because they could not stop talking about the reunion that has been confirmed.
HBO Max announced that the original cast of Friends will be coming back together for an hour long ‘reunion special’. It sounds like this is being used to promote HBO’s new streaming service which, when launched, will be exclusively streaming all the old episodes of Friends.
Each cast member is receiving three to four million dollars. And here’s why I’m annoyed. But, mainly just with David Schwimmer.
It was just a couple of weeks ago that Schwimmer was up on his soap box saying that he would never do a reunion no matter how much he was offered because it wasn’t about the money. That he wanted new, more diverse actors to continue the legacy. I’m paraphrasing there but I guess it WAS about the money huh, David?
The special will debut in May.
