On Tuesday night people partying at Pharrell Williams’ house got quite the surprise when dozens of police officers started banging on the door demanding to be let it.
Apparently, someone had called and claimed that someone inside the home had been shot and was dying…which wasn’t true! Thank goodness! After taking a look around the house police determined that it was another ‘swatting’ call.
Swatting became popular a few years ago when several different celebrities became victims to the same scenario. A major crime or situation is reported, the full force of the police or swat team respond, and then it turns out to be fake.
Pharrell Williams was NOT at home during the call and police have not determined who made the call.
