Just yesterday it was announced that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would be stepping down as “senior Royals” and would be moving to Canada or New York. Maybe both.
It’s definitely a big shake up with a lot of support and a lot of backlash. Although, for me, the most surprising and most hilarious reaction came from Madam Tussauds in London. Just a few hours after the announcement they removed Harry and Meghan’s figures from the display with the royal family. In their announcement they said, “Alongside the rest of the world we are reacting to the surprising news that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be stepping back as senior Royals. From today their figures will no longer appear in our Royal Family set…to mirror their ‘progressive new role within the Royal institution’.” That last part felt like a jab.
Their figures will still be on display in a different part of the museum since they are still very popular attractions.
