David Schwimmer says ‘No’ to reboot of Friends

We all know David Schwimmer thanks to the hit show Friends. He played my least favorite character, Ross, for ten seasons. While rumors circulate about a potential reboot of Friends, Schwimmer is saying ‘No thanks.’ And here’s why…

In an interview with The Guardian, Schwimmer said that he would rather his roll and all the others be recast for a more diverse reboot of Friends. Which, when you think about it, is a beautiful thing. To be able to take something that you dedicated at least a decade of your life to and be able to let it go…I don’t know that I would be able to do the same.

He went on to say that, “I don’t want to do anything for the money. It would have to make sense creatively and nothing I’ve heard so far presented to us makes sense.”

Sorry, Friends fans…it looks like those original characters will NOT be making a comeback.

If you’re feeling sad about the lack of an onscreen reunion, it may warm your heart to know that, according to Schwimmer, the cast regularly reunites offscreen.
